Kelly Graves, 45

Kelly Graves, 45, of Minneapolis, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, April 18th.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Bobby Shomo officiating. Visitation with the family and a time of sharing will follow the services until 6:00 p.m. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234.

Born on January 17th, 1972, in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of Kirk and Kendra (Goecke) Graves. His family resided in Chicago and Belgium before moving to St. Paul and eventually Minneapolis. He graduated from the Tartan High School in Maplewood, MN. While at Tartan HS, he excelled in tennis, earning many awards. Later, Kelly attended Mankato State University and earned several certificates from the Minnesota Community and Technical College. He took his love and talent for computers and started his own business, Graves IT.

Kelly was an unselfish and kind person, dearly loving his family and friends. He devoted himself to the love of his life, his daughter, Alexa.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Kirk and Kendra Graves, of San Antonio, TX, his daughter Alexa Elizabeth Graves, of Nebraska; brother Jamie Thomas, of Colleyville, TX,; brother-in-law Brian Thomas; nieces Ella, Leah and Sophia as well as aunts and uncles: Paul and Penny Moehn, of Des Moines, Deb Ewoldt, of Marshalltown, Jeff and Nancy Goecke, of State Center, and Bryan and Lisa Sievers, of Stockton, IA. Also surviving are many cousins and friends.

In death, Kelly rejoined his grandparents and cousin, Nathan Goecke.
