Valerie Jean Reece Lubbert was born on July 3, 1950, in Eldora, Iowa. She graduated from New Providence Community School in 1968. Valerie was united in marriage to Larry Lubbert at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa and from this union two sons were born.

Valerie’s memory is honored by her husband, Larry Lubbert; sons, Colton Lubbert and McKenze Lubbert, of Marshalltown, Iowa; siblings: Steven Reece, Kurt (Connie) Reinert, and Kent (Tracy) Reinert; sisters-in-law Carlene Reece, Janice (Larry) Smith, Linda (Ed) Mills, Mary Millard, Diane (Dean Lynch) Lubbert, Dorothy (Jim Memmer) Blocker, and Sandy (Bill) Babinat; brother-in-law Donald (Nancy) Lubbert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Wallace Reinert; biological father Lawrence Reece; brother Larry Reece and nieces Kimberly Reece and Melissa Babinat.
