Funeral services for Lillian will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Lillian Christiansen was born on August 8, 1925, in Stuart, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Carlos Taylor in 1941. Lillian was a member of the VFW as well as the YMCA. She was a homemaker as well as a cafeteria worker at Miller Junior High School. Lillian enjoyed playing bingo and card games with her friends at the Legion. Lillian also loved going to the casino and would play the poker machines and was terribly lucky! She was an excellent cook and avid baker and would always have cookies and pies in the house. Lillian always looked forward to family reunions and although ill, she made it to the last one in September. She dearly loved her family. During her last days, she said that “Dad was in the house” and we are now comforted to know that Dad was there to take her to heaven with him.

Lillian is survived by her children; Robert, of Council Bluffs, Bill (Kathy), of Michigan and Bruce (Malisa), of Toledo, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Carlos, parents, grandson’s John and Zachery and nine siblings.
