Ardell Cline, 93

Ardell Cline, 93, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, at UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown. Memorial Services for Ardell and her brother, Fred Jackson, who passed on April 7, 2017, will be held 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Anderson Funeral Homes. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association and the Alzheimer’s Association. Laura Ardell Cline was born on March 26, 1924, in Collins, IA, to Fred Kitchell and Emma Alvilda (Madsen) Jackson. After graduating from Liscomb High School in 1942, she attended Marshalltown Business College. Ardell married Harold Cline on July 29, 1951, at First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. They had one daughter, Cindy. Ardell and Harold owned and operated Cline Photo in Marshalltown since 1953, where many people would enjoy visiting and chatting with the couple. She supported and volunteered as a Kiwanis wife for many years. Ardell also enjoyed gardening, spending time with and supporting her family in all their endeavors, crossword puzzles which kept her mind sharp, her historical Marshalltown photos, and being caught up on all the current local events and people’s lives. She attended church at First United Methodist Church of Marshalltown and Marshalltown Church of Christ.

Left to cherish Ardell’s memory are her loving husband of 66 years, Harold Cline, of Marshalltown; daughter Cindy (Galen Pille) Harrison, of Marshalltown; two grandchildren: Melissa (Jeff) Hochuli, of Tucson, AZ and Jared (Sarah Moy) Harrison, of San Francisco, CA; two great grandchildren: Olivia and Jayden Hochuli, and two sisters: Nellie Hanegan and Betty Ann Flowers, both of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Ralph Jackson, Albert Jackson, and Freddie Jackson.
