Charlotte was born on March 4, 1940, to the parents of Kermit and Clarice (Morris) Bueghly, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She graduated from Liscomb High School with the class of 1957. She then attended Bible College in Minnesota. She returned to the Marshalltown area and worked for Central Supply in the Marshalltown Hospital for over twenty-five years. Her grandchildren were her life, she faithfully attended every school event that they had ranging from baseball games to band concerts. She was always front and center making sure that she was at least an hour early to guarantee she had a spot in the first two rows. She loved to watch hummingbirds in the spring and summer and also enjoyed when the flowers bloomed. Charlotte was extremely faithful to her church and would volunteer to help with Sunday School. Charlotte touched many lives and will be missed by her family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Alvin Vanwaardhuizen; children: Michael Hunt, and Sheila Barritt; grandchildren: Brandon Mitchell, Lance Mitchell, Jared Mendelsohn, Nolan Vitzhum, Nichole Hunt, Lucas Barritt, Wade Barritt and Oliva Barritt; greatgrandchildren: Carey Mitchell, Brooklyn Mitchell, Cordelia Mitchell, Jasmine Terrol, Zoey Terrol and Ryan Mitchell.

She is preceded in death by her parents Kermit and Clarice and her daughter Teresa Hunt.
