Philip W. Hintermeister, 86, of Marshalltown, formerly of Davenport, IA, died January 20, 2018, at Iowa Veterans Home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside committal service will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Marian, Davenport; daughters: Sharon (Alex) Van Wyk, Altoona, IA; Sheila (Lyall) Sutton, Peoria, IL; sons: Charles Hintermeister, Des Moines, IA; Gary (Lori) Hintermeister, Tiffin, IA; three granddaughters; two grandsons; 3 great-grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters; brother, Don (Sandy) Hintermeister, Springfield, MO; sisters: Judy Compton, Rachel (Larry) Durr, both, of Davenport.
