Gladys was born on August 29, 1926, in Mulberry, Kansas. She attended school and graduated from Kansas Public Schools. In 1946, she was united in marriage to James S. Beasley in Fort Scott, Kansas and they moved to Iowa in 1950. James passed away on April 1, 1985. Gladys worked at Cooper Manufacturing Co. for thirteen years and ten years at R and H Grocery in Garwin, Iowa. In 1995, Gladys married Charles D. Brown, whom passed away on April 1, 2011.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Linda Parks, of Garwin; grandson Scott Smith, great grandchildren: Abbie, Joe, Danny and Klowie; great great grandchildren: Miles and Addison and her step children: Bob, Mary, Dick and Carol.

In death Gladys rejoins her first husband James; parents Charles and Birdie; two brothers, seven sisters, second husband Charles and her son in law Butch Parks.
