David Snyder was born on July 6, 1933 in Lamoille, Iowa, to George “Dewey” and Ethel Southand Barker Snyder. Dave graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1952. On July 11, 2007, Dave was united in marriage to JoAnn Mackey in Marshalltown. He was self-employed and owned and operated Snyder Construction.

Dave is survived by his wife of 10 years, JoAnn. Children: Brenda (Darryl) Rodden, of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jeff (Patty) Snyder, of Keystone, Iowa, and Sean (Patty) Snyder, of Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamie Walker and Jessica Walker as well as great grandchildren; Michaela Kirby, Peyton Sinkwity, Shalee Watson and Molly Byrnam and his siblings; Don Snyder, Darrell Snyder, Todd Hulbert, Jamie Snyder, Robin Snyder and Daniel Snyder.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel, brother Rick Hulbert and sister Sallee Matson.
