Dwight Smith
Dwight Smith, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Marshalltown, passed away on April 26, 2018, at the age of 87. He was the son of Charles and Vivian Smith and grew up on the family farm near Van Cleve, Iowa. He graduated from Van Cleve Consolidated School. Dwight married the former Betty Robovsky in 1953.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter and is survived by Betty, his wife of 65 years. Also surviving is his son Michael Smith and wife Joyce, of Tucson, AZ, daughters Shelley Randall and husband Jerry, of Tempe, AZ, and Stephanie Ellingson and husband Ron, of Wickenberg, AZ; sisters: Edna Steward, of Melbourne, IA, and Ruth Hovick, of Marshalltown; five grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
