Myrene Appelgate, 89
Funeral services for Madelyn “Myrene” Appelgate, 89, of rural Marshalltown, were held on May 14, 2018, at the Gladbrook Chapel United Methodist Church in Gladbrook. Pastors Mark Keefer and John Gaulke officiated the service and special music performed by Sue Koster.
Pallbearers were Ben and Andy Little, Jordan and Josiah Gaulke, Nathan and Jared Callahan, and Travis, Kaleb and Seth Appelgate.
She was laid to rest in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, rural Gladbrook.
Groups in attendance included New Hope Christian Church members, Gladbrook Chapel United Methodist Church members, Iowa River Hospice, Altoona United Methodist Church members.
Special recognition went out to Judy Kelley and Carol Bristley for taking care of Myrene in her home.
Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Myrene and her family.
