Bonnie Mae Hayek, 90, of Traer, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at Sunrise Assisted Living Suites in Traer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer with Father Michael Hutchison as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in rural Clutier. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 4 -7 PM at the St. Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Tim Hayek of Hiawatha, Kathy Kahler of Traer, and Jane (Jamie) Molony of Iowa City; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Rippel of Vinton and Pat Nolan of Cedar Rapids; sisters-in-law, Betty Nolan of Keystone and Dorothy Hayek of Iowa City; brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Rose Hayek of Cedar Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established.
