Mildred Heckert, 99
Funeral Services for Mildred Heckert, 99, of Marshalltown, were held on June 14, 2018, at the First United Church of Christ where Reverend Dr. Kim Wilson officiated the service. Special music was performed by Madonna Wilson.
Pallbearers were Craig Hawkins, Freeman Ohrt, Randy Wilson, Eric Heckert, David Heckert and Ken Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers were Hazel Kerr, Paul Heckman, Donna Stonewall, Shirley Hall, Ethel Tietje, Jeanette Owens and Marsha Doty. She was laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Groups in attendance included members of Order of the Eastern Star, friends and members of First United Church of Christ, (where she was a faithful member of 67 years) and Bickford Cottage staff, among others.
Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Mildred and her family.
