Pauline Kinder, 95

Pauline Kinder, 95, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formally of Gilman, Iowa, passed away on the morning of June 7, 2018 at Unity Point Hospital in Marshalltown.

Funeral services for Pauline will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Myren officiating. Public visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be directed in Pauline’s name to Gilman United Church of Christ or Iowa Veterans Home Volunteer Service’s. Mildred Pauline McKinney was born on January 15, 1923 in Green Castle, Missouri, the daughter of George and Lona (Garrett) McKinney. She graduated from Salem, MO, High School with the class of 1941. Pauline was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lloyd Kinder on November 21, 1942 in Unionville, MO. She was a proud member of the Gilman United Church of Christ, Gilman American Legion Auxiliary and volunteer at the Iowa Veterans Home for 35 years.

Pauline was most recently actively retired. She had a passion for gardening, volunteering, quilting, Auxiliary, avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and was the number one fan at all of the families sporting events.

Left to cherish Pauline’s memory are her children: Jerry Kinder, Patricia (Bob) Roberts, Karen Wallace and Danita (Stanley) Freeborn; grandchildren: Rick Roberts, Danene Rebelsky, Danielle Harris, Christopher Petersen, Lloyd Kinder Jr., Lindsay Kerch, Lisa Vargas, Michelle Bensen, John Kinder, Jamie Wallace and Dustin Wallace; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Lloyd Kinder; parents: George and Lona McKinney; one son: Lloyd Wayne Kinder.; and siblings: Leonard McKinney, Ralph McKinney, Roy McKinney, Mary Kilker and Earl McKinney.
