A Mass of Christian Burial for Gary Robert Phillips, 71, of Marshalltown, was held on August 2, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Father Alan Dietzenbach officiated the service and special music was performed by Gloria De Bower and the St. Mary Funeral Choir. Pallbearers were Gary Boeke, Dale Boeke, Dick Fiori, and Curt Conway. He was laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Groups in attendance included members of Alliant Energy and the Red Hat Society. Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Gary and his family.
