Funeral services for Alvin Storjohann, 96, of Marshalltown, were held on April 27, 2019 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Pastor Greg Ellcey officiated the service. Pallbearers were Matthew Storjohann, Alex Miller, Joel Storjohann, Levi Storjohann, Marty Mettlin, Branden Storjohann and Dave Gill. Honorary Pallbearers were Randy Welton, Chuck Barnes, Jim Billerbeck, Darrell Paustian, Kenneth Storjohann, and Al Hoop. He was laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens beside his beautiful wife, who passed in December of 2018, with Full Military Honors provided by the Combined VFW/American Legion Honor Guard. Groups in attendance included staff and residents of Willows and the Combined VFW/American Legion Honor Guard, among many others. Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Alvin and his family.
