Fred Joe Damon, 85, of Tama, passed away April 8, 2019, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama with Pastor Warren Riley officiating. A Graveside Service and interment will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. Visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2019, from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Joyce, of Tama; his children: Kathi (Alan) Abkes, of Cedar Falls, and Kenneth (Carole) Damon, of Eldora; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Aaron (Denise) Damon, of Pekin, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the STC Athletic Booster Club, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama or the Tama Ambulance Service.
