Carol was born on July 29, 1948, in Muscatine, IA. She married the love of her life, Pete, on November 18, 1966, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in State Center. Carol was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She loved the title of “Grandma” and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who always brought a smile to her face. Carol was known as a friendly and artistic florist, having owned and operated Maple Hill Flowers in their home north of State Center from 1981 until moving to Main Street in State Center in 1982, where she operated Flowers by Carol and the Bridal Connection. Through the years, she met a lot of customers that became good friends. After retirement, Pete and Carol moved to Vintage Hills Retirement Community in Ankeny, where they met a lot of special friends. She loved to travel to wineries and to visit friends far and near and looked forward to their annual July 4th parties.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Pete; daughters: Traci (Tom) Weuve, Missy Kruse (Scott Larson) and a son, Jason (Chris) Weuve; grandchildren Terra (Matt) Snyder, Tania (Alex) Johnson, Brittany (Nick) Johnson, Noah Kruse, Kyle and Brady Weuve and great grandchildren: Tatum, Stella and Axel Snyder, Evelyn Johnson and Brayden Johnson, and two more on the way.
