Geraldine Kroeger, 75, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, IA. A Memorial Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the American Legion Building in Gladbrook. Inurnment will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery in rural Gladbrook. Geraldine was born July 12, 1943, to Edward and Maymie (Haramza) Braye in Tama County, IA. She graduated from Tama High in 1961. Geraldine lived in Marshalltown, IA, for about ten years and was then united in marriage to Lloyd (Doc) Kroeger and moved to Gladbrook in 1970. She was employed by Lennox in Marshalltown for 33 years as a forklift driver where she retired in 2006. Geraldine was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and worked as a waitress for 16 years. She loved spending time with all her family and friends.
Geraldine is survived by her sister, Edna Neville, of Toledo, IA; her brother, Harry Braye, of Tama, IA; several nieces and nephews; two step daughters; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Vineta Braye; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Carl Wheeler; her special niece, Becky Howe.
