Larry Wescott, 79, of Beaman, IA, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, IA, under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. Per Larry’s request, there will be no funeral services or visitation. Private burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Larry’s family. Larry was born February 17, 1940, to Harvey and Helen (Gloe) Wescott in Marshalltown, IA. He graduated from Beaman High School. Larry was united in marriage to Ruth Sweet on December 19, 1958, in Conrad, IA. He was employed for many years at Ritchie Industries in Conrad. Larry was a member of Farm Bureau and AARP. He was a former member of the NRA, Badger Hill Cemetery Association and American Motorcycle Association.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, work partner and best friend of 60 years, Ruth. He has two children, Deb and Dee, and a brother, Jim (Kathy) Wescott.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Harvey and Helen.
