Roger C. Weuve, 80, of State Center, IA, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada, IA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in State Center. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in State Center. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, IA. Roger was born April 13, 1939, to Howard and Evelyn (Wilkening) Weuve in State Center. He graduated from State Center High School in 1957. Roger served his country in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Mary Tribby on September 18, 1959, in State Center. Roger was a service consultant for Lennox Industries for 33 years, retiring in 2002. He also farmed with his brother in the rural State Center area. Roger was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge and Liar’s Club at Cissy’s. Roger enjoyed John Deere tractors, playing cards, camping and boating. Roger and his wife loved wintering in Texas for many years.
Roger will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Mary; a daughter, Nancy (Scott) Schroeder, of Adel, IA; a son, David (Missy) Weuve, of Laurel, IA; four grandsons: Austin (Callie) Schroeder, Jacob Schroeder, Levi (Shelby) Weuve, Dakota (Kate) Weuve; one great granddaughter, Hunter Weuve; three brothers: Hank (Jean) Weuve, of Colo, IA, Ronald (Pam) Weuve, of Hiawatha, IA, Pete (Carol) Weuve, of Ankeny, IA; and a sister, Ronna (Daryl) Kurtz, of Pleasant Hill, IA.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven and his parents.
