A visitation for family and friends will be held for Franz on July 16, 2019, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Franz Peter Wind V was born on March 20, 1988, to parents Donna (Davis) and Franz Peter Wind IV in Macon, Georgia. He attended school in Georgia and gained his associates degree while in Georgia. Franz answered the call of his country and served five years in the United States Navy. Upon returning from the service he came to call the Marshalltown area home. He attended Marshalltown Community College to complete nursing classes, as well as worked for Marshalltown Hy-Vee. In Franz’s free time, he enjoyed going for runs, duck hunting with his gun, golfing, being outdoors, cooking for his family and he had a love for dogs and cars.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Donna Wind (Doug) Husak; his sister, Amanda (Andrew) Taylor; grandma, Lucille Davis; aunts and uncles: Vince (Michelle) Davis, of Hoschton, Georgia, Jim (Clara) Scott, of Rose Hill, Tennessee and Joe (Fern) Kilby, of Kingsport, Tennessee; cousins, Bradly Davis and Andrew Davis, of Hoschton, Georgia.

In death, Franz rejoins his father, Franz Peter Wind IV; paternal grandmother, Rochella Cullison and maternal grandfather, Emmet Davis.
