Michael Petersohn, 77, of Marshalltown, stepped foot on heaven’s golf course on the morning of Thursday, August 22, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines with his family at his side. He was a man of many names including Mikey, Pedro and Pete and of course, Mike.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30th, at St. Francis of Assisi-St. Henry’s Church with Fr. Alan Dietzenbach officiating. A chaplet will be recited/sung at 11:30 a.m. at the church with visitation starting at 11:45 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. “Happy Hour” will be held following the burial, at Vaughn’s Pub, 22 North 1st Avenue.
