Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will be having their own memorial service for friends and family at the American Legion, 1301 South 6th Street in Marshalltown, on Sunday, October 13, 2019, from 1 PM to 3 PM. A memorial fundraiser link can be found by going to the Facebook page of Jason’s sister, Jessica Simmons. The family will have a private burial in Liscomb, Iowa.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister, Jessica Simmons and a nephew.
