Private graveside services honoring her request were held Wednesday, November 13th, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Born June McConnell on August 27th, 1950, she was the daughter of Forrest and Dorothy (Brierley) McConnell.

On October 22nd, 1971, she was united in marriage to William Close at the Little Brown Church. They made their home in Marshalltown where she was employed at Fisher Controls until her retirement. She enjoyed murder-mystery books and loved her pets.

Surviving are her husband William and her sister, Kay McConnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a half-brother and half-sister.
