A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 6, 2019, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Dennis Conway and Father Chris Podhajsky as Concelebrants. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in rural Clutier. Visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 AM prior to Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include his children, daughter Kristie Svoboda and partner Clive Mascord of Woodbridge, England, son Leroy Svoboda and wife Jeanine of Quaregnon Belgium, daughter Jolene Broad and husband Toby of Herne Bay, England; stepson Stephen Tanner of England; four grandchildren, one step grandson; sister-in-law Loreen Svoboda of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Leo (Janice) Svoboda of Boise, ID, David (Mary Ann Gardner) Svoboda of Toledo, Clair (Suzanne) Svoboda of Clutier, and Paul (Barb) Svoboda of Clutier.may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or the USO.
