Theresa Ann Roberts, 69, of Tama, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at UnityPoint-Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement with Homer Bear Jr. as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Saturday evening at Glenn Roberts’ Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Survivors include her brothers: Ernest Roberts Jr. and Robin Roberts; adopted brother, Pete Wanatee; and adopted sister, Sheila Brown. Her children, Prince Wiley of OK, Charles Lynn Poafpybitty of Tama, IA, Troylynn Poafpybitty, Gaston Keahna III, and Thomasine Keahna all of Des Moines, IA; Her 16 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
