A celebration of life for Dan will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials in Dan’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Daniel Lee Lenox was born to parents Donald and Evelyn (Dutton) Lenox on May 30, 1971, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was one of eight children born to the family. He attended school and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1989. Dan then attended one year of college at Marshalltown Community College.

In May of 1990, Dan was united in marriage to his wife Dawn (Nederhoff) in Marshalltown, Iowa and the two began a family of their own having three children Matthew, Kristin and Megan. He began a business of his own, Lenox Flooring, where he had done flooring installations.

In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, watching Iowa State sports, hanging out with his friends, being an avid watcher of Fox News and loving his furry four-legged companions Champ and Wrigley.

Left to remember and cherish his memory is his wife of 29 years Dawn; his children: Matthew Lenox (Cheyenne Stokesbary), Kristin Lenox and Megan Lenox (Cameron Werba); his siblings: Linda Bittner, Shirley Garrett, Roger Lenox, Carol Stanton and David Lenox; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Evelyn; his siblings Rodney and Donny (Buddy) Lenox and his furry four-legged companions Buddy and Reagan.
