Ellen Hazen, 90
A Funeral Service for Ellen Elizabeth Hazen, 90, of Marshalltown, was held on January 14, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish-St. Mary Church where Father Michael McAndrew officiated. Marilyn Spafford and the St. Mary Funeral Choir played special music.
Pallbearers were Dan Dawson, Chris Dawson, Scott Williams, Kenneth Kroener, Jeff Springer, Steven Williams, Evan Stoakes, Eric Stoakes, Matt Ankrum, and McKinley Springer.
Honorary pallbearers were Christine Vlahakis, Deanna Seiler, Lori Stackhouse, Karen Dunlap, Sherri Stoakes, Shelley Griffis, and Kim Dawson.
She was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
Groups in attendance included members of the church, members of DAR, and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, among others.
Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Ellen and her family.
