Eunice Marie Hight was born on August 25, 1927, in Dawson, Iowa, to Leo and Eunice Mozeney Hight. Marie graduated from high school in Jamaica, Iowa, in 1944 then attended Iowa State University. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Goodwin on March 17, 1950, in Vermillion, South Dakota. Marie had worked at Donnelley Marketing in Nevada in the payroll department before her retirement. She was a member of the State Center First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed singing, sewing/needlework, doing puzzle books but most importantly, Marie loved her family dearly. Marie’s family would also like to send a heartfelt “thank you” to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown for the wonderful and loving care that they provided for her!

Marie is survived by her children: David (Nancy) Goodwin, of Texas City, Texas, Dennis (Kathy) Goodwin, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, DeAnn (Scott) Meyer, of Ames, Douglas Goodwin, of State Center, Scott (Donna) Goodwin, of Marshalltown, Randy (Brenda) Goodwin, of State Center and Timothy Goodwin, of State Center. Marie is also survived by multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents, Leo and Eunice and siblings, Winifred Hellman, Opal Halsey and Leon Hight.
