Zachary “Zach” Grigg, 34

Zachary “Zach” Grigg, 34, of Liscomb, Iowa, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, June 28 from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Liscomb Community Center in Liscomb, IA. Casual attire is encouraged. Zachary Leon Grigg was born June 25, 1985, to parents Kevin and Sherry (Purvis) Grigg in Moses Lake, Washington. Zach began his early education in the town where he was born. In time, Zach and his family moved to Iowa and lived in various towns around the Marshall county area. Zach graduated from BCLUW High School with the Class of 2003. During his time in high school, Zach worked for the city of Beaman at their public library. He continued education beyond high school attending classes for radio broadcasting at Marshalltown Community College.

Most of his friends, as well as others in the community, know Zach from being the friendly clerk at the Marshalltown Kwik Star for the last 14 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching pro wrestling and even started a podcast with his friend Zach Takes called Shotgun Wrestling Radio. He enjoyed taking photos for Double S Bulls Co. Bull Riders of America and watching Mariners and Cardinals baseball. He would tend to root for the Nebraska, Iowa State and Kansas City Chiefs football teams. He also enjoyed fishing with his friend Tyler Fricke. Overall, he always put his family and friends first and was loved by everyone.

Left to remember and cherish his memory are his parents Kevin and Sherry Grigg; his brother Kyle Grigg; his aunts and uncles, Terry (Don) Moore, Vicki (Paul) Buti, Shelly May, Allen Purvis, Rod (Karen) Purvis, Steven (Jennifer) Purvis, Pam (Freeman) Ohrt, Connie (Tom) Stanley, Bonnie (Jeff) Somers and Bertie Hadley; numerous cousins and his fur babies Chewy, Otis and Max.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Clarence and Delores Purvis, Earl and Dorothy Grigg and his cousin Breanne Purvis.
