Janette Rae (Hineman) Tool was born on September 20th, 1953. She passed away in her home on March 2nd, 2021 surrounded by her family and under the care of hospice. Janette was the 2nd of 3 children of Raymond and Margene (Thurston) Hineman. She attended Garwin High school and graduated in 1971. She then attended Northwest Missouri State and received her teaching degree for Secondary Education.

Janette met the love of her life David Tool thru mutual friends. They enjoyed many motorcycle rides together and the couple was wed on November 27th, 1982 in a beautiful ceremony at Janette’s parents’ home. After their wedding they settled down in Toledo to start a family and later moved to Green Mountain to raise their children. Rebecca was born in 1984 and Darin completed their family in 1988. Janette and David were happily married until his death in 2004.

Janette used her degree to teach at local schools in the area working for then Green Mountain school district as well as Garwin and she also subbed at the South Tama school district. Later, she also worked for The USPS in Garwin and was the Postmaster for the Beaman location.

Janette was a long-time member of the Carlton Brethren Church and the Women of Grace and her love for the lord was only topped by the love of her family and spoiling her grandkids was certainly her favorite hobby.

In Janette’s final years she battled with Cancer, but she never let it stop her in spreading her love and joy. She could often be found at the church helping and planning events or spending time with her grandkids and always bringing them balloons.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Joan (Patrick) Gallegos and Diane (Joe) Mattingly, her sister in law Stacey (Brian) Crawford, her children Rebecca (Tool) Madison, Darin (Kaitlin) Tool, her grandchildren Alan and Kylie Madison and Chesney and Nolan Tool and finally all her church group and other family and friends.

In her passing she rejoins her parents, her husband David and lots of other loved ones.
