A funeral service for Michael Weitzell, 73, of Le Grand were held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon with Rev. Fred Berry officiating. Michael was laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery of Dillon in Dillon, IA. Pallbearers were Christopher Jones, Robert Crouse, Chad Plowman, Whitaker Crouse, Cole Plowman and Mike Eggers. Honorary pallbearers were John Jones, Chuck Grove, Don Wogen, Don Weitzell, Taylor Jones, Kate Jones and Rachel Jones. Along with family and friends a group from Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon, Marshalltown High School class of 1965 and Marshalltown Police Department attended. Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Michael and his family.
