A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. The service will begin live streaming at 10:15 am on the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell and the family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Luther of Gilman; children, Dawn (Dave) Pyle of Marshalltown, IA, Chris (Brian) Detter of Laurel, IA, Charlie (Carrie) Luther of Gilman, IA, Todd (Nicole) Luther of Newburg, IA; Nicki (Curt) Smith of Kansas City, MO, and Terrie (Joe West) Stonewall of Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Hazel (Riggenberg) Luther.
