• Frankie Miller made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing is set at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 31 in Magistrate Court. Bond is set at $500 cash. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

Miller was also seen on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference charge. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 with the jury trial rescheduled for 9 a.m. on Sept. 22.

• Anthony Ray Johnson made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Wes Hoyer is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 17. Bond is $5,000 cash.

• Nichole Renae Switzer made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge. Joel Waters is appointed as counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 7 in Magistrate Court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jose Antonio Sanchez Carrasco made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 7 in Magistrate Court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Mary Margaret Yakel made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a driving while barred initial appearance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 25.

• Freddy Enriquez made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 16. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.

• Daniel Thomas Jefferson Jr. made an initial appearance on an addendum to a probation revocation. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The District Court will schedule the next hearing. Jefferson is being held without bond.

• Thomas Alfredo Stewart made an initial appearance on a control of a firearm/weapon by a felon charge, four counts of a child endangerment charge, a domestic abuse assault while displaying a weapon charge, an assault displaying a dangerous weapon charge and a domestic abuse assault-injury or mental illness-first offense charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 15. Bond is set at $25,000 cash. No contact orders were issued for the protected parties.

• Jordan Scott Parker made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Parker pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Victor Rodriguez made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. Rodriguez pleaded guilty and the fine is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354.

• Kaisha Nicole Oides made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 25. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Tye Coleman Minteer made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 25. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Juan Carlos Gonzalez Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Gonzalez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Kaw Khu made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 26. Khu was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by Aug. 15.

• Linda Sue Rothfus made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. Rothfus pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
