Robert “Bob” W. Love

Robert “Bob” W. Love of Nashville, IL departed this life at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 4:52 P.M. He had attained the age of 78 years, 6 months and 24 days.

Bob was born on December 21, 1946, in Marshalltown, IA, the son of Floyd Love, Sr. and Elizabeth Quinn McReynolds Love Crippen. He was united in marriage to Randy M. Crawford on May 30, 1971, in Postville, IA and she preceded him in death on August 8, 2023.

Bob graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1965. He entered the United States Army on February 1, 1967. His Army experience included a trip to Vietnam from January 1968 to November 1969. Bob spent the major portion of his adult life in the automobile business, retiring in January 2017. He spent 2 ½ years as commander of the Post 110 of the American legion in Nashville, IL and was mainly responsible for including the large flag in the Nashville High School gymnasium.

Left to mourn his passing are his 2 sons, Rick Love, of Marshalltown, IA and Jeff Love and wife Shelly, of Nashville; 2 daughters, Missie Deters and husband Ken, of Winfield, MO and Tiffanie Kozuszek and husband Terry, of Nashville; 13 grandchildren, Justin (Megan) Love, Kylie (Josh) Barker, Danielle Droste, Jordan and Gavin Love, Nikki (Derrik) Reynolds, Angela (Elijah) Scullin, Becky (John) Mueller, Jen and Joe Deters, Tianna, Tabor and Talanie Kozuszek; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 brothers, Bill Love and wife Donna and Floyd Love, Jr; sister, Betty Lee Dahms; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepfather, Lee Crippen; 1 sister, Shirley (Dale) Eash; 1 brother, Jimmy Love; brother-in-law, Ken Dahms and sister-in-law, Pat Love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Nashville, IL on Saturday, August 2, 2025, starting at 4 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at the American Legion in Nashville, IL on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 12 P.M. There will be no visitation hours. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 110.

Graveside services will be held at Saint Charles Cemetery in Saint Charles, IA on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11 A.M.

Should friends desire, memorial can be made to the American Legion Post 110 and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
