September is Suicide Prevention Month. Center Associates joins with other community organizations to play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families by providing essential mental and emotional healthcare.. As a dedicated mental health center, they offer a range of services designed to prevent suicide and promote mental wellness.

One of the primary ways Center Associates can help is through accessible counseling services. Currently we provide individual and family services, group counseling will be offered this fall, medication management and evaluations continue for psychopharmacology and Care and Peer Coordination is ongoing with Integrated Health Home and Community Support Services. Additionally, our BHIS and In-Home Family therapy is expanding as the need increases. These services provide a safe and confidential space for individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, depression, or anxiety to talk with trained professionals. By offering both in-person and telehealth options, we ensure that help is available to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

In addition to direct counseling, Center Associates conducts educational and consultative training aimed at raising awareness about the signs of suicide risk and the importance of early intervention. These sessions are invaluable for families, schools, and workplaces, equipping others with the knowledge to identify warning signs and take action to support those in need. As we continue to collaborate with local organizations and community groups, we are extending the reach and impact to help create a network of support that can effectively address the complexities of mental, emotional and behavioral health issues.

During Suicide Prevention Month, Center Associates’ commitment to reducing the stigma around mental health and providing accessible care is more critical than ever. The newly opened up Urgent Care for mental health services is accessible for same day access and treatment. There is no waiting – same day services. Our comprehensive approach ensures that individuals at risk receive the help they need immediately and we aim to foster a community where mental health is prioritized and lives are saved.
