Golf tourney a great success

On behalf of the Marshalltown Area United Way we would like to say thank you to everyone who came out and supported our golf tournament this past Thursday. This year was the largest year since the United Way began hosting the tournament. We had 30 teams entered.

Thank you to Gary Schaudt and Sage Point Financial for being the event sponsor. Thank you to the following businesses for your hole sponsorship: Emerson, Lennox Industries, R.S. We would also like to acknowledge the following people for helping make this event all that it turned out to be: Gary Schaudt, Deb Mettlin, Zach Stahlin and Todd Steinkamp for being on the golf committee. Pam Klinefelter at the American Legion for going above and beyond to help make the meal after the event to run smoothly and Josh Hoglan at the American Legion Pro Shop. Finally, thank you to all the volunteers that come out and helped make the day a success.
