Remove the ‘M’ from the memorial site
I read Joe Latham’s letter to the editor in the Times-Republican about the placement of the “M” inside the fence at the F4 Veterans Memorial site. Joe was absolutely correct in his viewpoint. I was one of the volunteers that helped with the recent clean up and painting of the F4. Those of us that volunteered did so with the understanding that this was a memorial to veterans. As Joe stated the area within the fence is the memorial area, not a display area. Thus the “M” should be removed. As a suggestion, use the concrete pad to place an appropriate plaque honoring those who have served.
