As Marshalltown residents actively engaged in our community, we want to thank the mayor, city administrator, directors of city departments, and city council for their continued hard work and dedication in moving our community forward. For us, community growth and development are important to the quality of life in Marshalltown.

We choose to call Marshalltown home because a mid-sized community provides us the opportunity to volunteer for many things and positively impact our community. We are able to be involved in things we are passionate about and truly make a difference.

Many of us have lived in Marshalltown for more than 10 years and have seen tremendous growth over this time. From beautification projects to new developments for residential and commercial to new recreational opportunities.

We’ve seen quality of life enhancements like 13th Street District businesses, Futsal courts and the physical beauty that came with the rehabilitation of this district. The recreational trails and new Iowa River Trail offer great opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Many families are seen frequenting the updated Mega-10 Park anytime the weather is nice.

We are in support of strategic plans and studies that help us plan for future growth. The Park and Rec Master Plan will be a great asset to our community as we continue to move forward with updates and amenities. The Highway 14 Corridor project is a welcomed relief to an area of the community that is full of potential. It is vital to have action and implementation of the plan.

As communities around us compete for employees and residents, we feel it’s important that we continue to invest and develop our community. We can see and feel the growth and that makes us proud to call Marshalltown home.
