The Emergency Food Box and Salvation Army would like to thank everyone who generously donated to the successful Letter Carriers Food Drive that was held May 12. Marshalltown’s response to this year’s drive was excellent — with a final total of nearly 9,500 pounds. We are truly grateful for this response.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Marshalltown city and rural letter carriers for their extra work in collecting and handling those donated food items; our special thanks to Sandy McRill, food drive chairman, for coordinating the Marshalltown Letter Carriers Food Drive. This is the 26th annual NALC’S Stamp Out Hunger national food drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Thank you to everyone whose hard work made this drive extremely successful.
