We want to thank the Marshalltown community for generous donations of money, food and fresh produce after the July 19 tornado. The Marshalltown community has a history of supporting the work of the Emergency Food Box to make it possible to carry out their mission Matthew 25:35 “…for when I was hungry, you gave me food…” In addition to the support of the community donations of food, cash has been received from the surrounding communities, all around the state of Iowa and various places in the United States. The overwhelming response by organizations, business and individuals far and wide has made it possible to meet the community’s immediate food needs and those of the months ahead as people rebuild their lives.
