Thank you so much to those who graciously donate to the residents at the Iowa Veterans Home. We currently have close to 500 residents with a variety of needs.

Our Volunteer Advisory Committee is raising money for our Christmas Fund to purchase gifts for residents. Giving for Christmas will warm your heart and let each resident know that they are not forgotten. Our resident’s daily needs include these items: word search puzzles, full size shampoo, deodorant, body wash, candy bars, individually-wrapped snacks, soda and forever stamps.

Many questions have come up about clothing donations. At this time only new clothing is being accepted, we are unable to accept used clothing. Our greatest need is for men’s extended sized clothing (XL, 2X, 3X and 4X).
