Phenomenal efforts of SHIIP counselors at UnityPoint
The team of dedicated volunteer SHIIP counselors at UnityPoint during their Open Enrollment Period for Medicare (Oct. 15 to Dec. 7) had 1,625 contacts with Medicare recipients. Counsel was given on plans they could choose from that may save them the most money throughout the year and through their counsel, they saved these individuals a total of $743,481 just for this upcoming year. One of our counselors saved a recipient $66,000 a year. Throughout the state of Iowa, 44,361 contacts were made.
