Once upon a time Plaza Heights Road was a very quiet street. There was wild turkey, pheasant and deer that lived on what has become the Walmart hill. When the street connecting the Marshalltown Mall to Walmart was built that all changed.
Plaza Heights Road became a shortcut to Walmart. Traffic more than doubled and most cars seemed unaware of the speed limit. How do I know this? I used to live there.
A road near Iowa River Hospice connecting Cross Country Housing development to Third Avenue and Plaza Heights would become a great shortcut possibly even from Governor Road.
