Liking a show a little too much

April 10, 2014 - Wes Burns
So, “Game of Thrones” came back for a fourth season last week. I like the show, don’t get me wrong. Yes, it can seem like it takes forever to move the plot an inch and having a cast of about 12,000 characters means you need to keep a reference chart handy to know who is stabbing who; but I still love watching. But when the show is over I?kind of forget about it ... unlike some people. Have you noticed anybody in your Facebook feed posting about how to make costumes so you can dress like the characters? Well I have anyway. I'm not against dressing up as a character, it just needs a context. Halloween, a costume party, a strange wedding, all of these things would be perfectly acceptable places to dress up like Ned Stark. But on a Wednesday afternoon at the office? Not so much. If you like "Game of Thrones" like I do just watch the show, yell about it with your fellow nerd friends and be done with it. I really don't need to see a bunch of home made Sandor Clegane's walking around Main Street.
