Joe and Alarie Crouch, of Armstrong, are the parents of a son, Camden James Crouch, born on Jan. 21 at 7:57 a.m. Camden was born at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minn., weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring 20.25 inches in length. Camden joins brother Carson Joseph Crouch, 3. Paternal grandparents are Brian and Phyllis Crouch, of Armstrong, and great grandmother Helen Blomstrom, of Armstrong. Maternal grandparents are Rod and Sherry Benson, of State Center, great grandparents James and Greta Benson, of State Center, and Dale and Erma Roseland, of Gilman.

Cindy Martinez and Jared Galloway, of Conrad, are the parents of a son, Kalon Galloway, born at 8:02 p.m. on Jan. 20 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Welcoming Kalon home are siblings: Alexa Peters, Drake Crawford and Jordan Galloway. Grandparents are: Janice Anderson, Carla and Rich Gilbreaith and Darwin Galloway.

Jim and Melinda Bonschmit, of Clemons, are the parents of a daughter, McKenna Nicole Bonschmit born at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 10 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. McKenna joins siblings Dylan, Brandon, Brock and Brooklyn. Grandparents are Terry and Kay Gill, of Albion, and Marilyn Hird, of Iowa Falls.

Kathryn (Mroz) and Mike Western, of Waverly, are the parents of a son, Jaxson Matthew born on Jan. 25, weighing 7 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Big brother Owen welcomed Jaxson home. Grandparents are Steve and Karen Mroz, of Marshalltown, and Jim and Jackie Western, of Boyd, Wis.

Incidents

On Wednesday, a person associated with Carquest, 2901 S. Center St., reported the theft of an 11 piece half metric impact socket set, a half drive 10 impact extension, a three-eighths drive 8 mm socket, an 11 piece half SAE impact set, a half 24 flex bar, six inch long nose pliers, seven piece MM Hex wrench set, a half FX three-quarters impact adapter, a half drive flip impact socket and a flywheel shim from the business valued at $268.99.

On Tuesday, Cheryl Ann Davis, 614 W. Nevada St., reported the theft of a Samsung Galaxy 5 cell phone while at 1402 S. 17th Ave. Estimated value of loss was $550.

On Tuesday, an employee at Younkers, 2500 S. Center St., reported the theft of two coats with fur hoods. Estimated value of loss was $520.

On Jan. 23, Phyllis Jean Kroener, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #188, reported the theft of a RCA flatscreen TV from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $1,100.

On Wednesday, Sondra Regen Wanatee, 1501 Summit St., was cited for serious assault.

On Monday, Ronald Edward Draper, 2102 S. 3rd Ave., was cited for driving while revoked.

On Monday, Rachelle Lynne Mann, 112 N. 3rd St. Apt. #4, was cited for two counts of theft-fifth degree.

Arrests

On Tuesday, Jeff Joseph Vopava, 203 W. South St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Monday, Steven Ray Ralls, of Rhodes, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

On Monday, Santos Villagomez, 210 W. Grant St., was arrested for terrorist threats.

On Monday, Christian Brandon Mason, 207 N. 13th St., was arrested for attempted burglary-third degree.

On Monday, Thaddeus Joseph Graves, 101 Wall St., was arrested for attempted burglary-third degree.

On Monday, Emmit Robert Smoldt, of Albion, was arrested for aiding and abetting: attempted burglary-third degree.

On Monday, Demetrius Allen Logsdon, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #101, was arrested for attempted burglary-third degree.

On Thursday, Cassandra Ann Miller, 1703 Edgebrook Dr. Apt. G-6, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

Accidents

On Wednesday, a car driven by Collyn Lynn Hoy, of Conrad, was southbound on South Third Avenue attempted to turn west onto the west-side off ramp when it went out of control on the snow and ice and collided with a vehicle driven by Shelley Renee Kuykendall, 1008 E. Anson St., which was stopped at the stop sign. No injuries were reported. Hoy was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Hoy car was estimated at $2,500 while the Kuykendall vehicle received an estimated $1,500 in damage.

On Jan. 23, a car driven by Arvilla Mae Arnold, 2451E Sand Rd., was westbound on Sand Road when it struck a deer that entered the road from the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Arnold car was estimated at $3,000.

On Jan. 23, a car driven by Melissa Jolene Grove, 2110 S. 5th St., was westbound on High Street approaching the intersection with South Second Street when it went through the stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Benjamin Edwin Kasal, of Chelsea, which was traveling south on Second Street. No injuries were reported. Grove was cited for failure to obey a stop or yield right of way sign. Damage to the Grove car was estimated at $2,000 while the Kasal vehicle received an estimated $1,200 in damage.

On Jan. 17, a semi driven by Duaneelzo Bargo, of Dearborn Heights, Mich., was westbound on East Olive Street at the intersection with Highway 14 when it turned right onto Highway 14 at too sharp an angle and struck a light post owned by the City of Marshalltown. No injuries were reported. Damage to the light post was estimated at $500.

On Friday, a car driven by Angela Marie Troutner, 615 E. Anson St., was southbound on South Center Street attempting to turn left into Hardees when an uninvolved vehicle stopped to allow her to turn and in doing so blocked her view of a pickup driven by Brad Robert Korte, of Newton, in the outside lane. As Troutner turned she and the Korte pickup collided. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Troutner car was estimated at $3,000 while the Korte $1,000.

On Wednesday, a car driven by Jean Larue Hanus, 1211 W. State St. Apt. #133, was exiting the parking lot at The Embers when it slid on the snow packed lot into the path of a pickup driven by Michael David Butler, 116 N. 14th St., and the two vehicles collided. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hanus car was estimated at $2,000 while the Butler pickup received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

On Wednesday, a minivan driven by Myran Jones, 806 W. State St., was northbound on South Third Avenue when it attempted to stop and slid into the rear of a vehicle driven by Gayle Annette Lanes, 505 Nicholas Dr., which was awaiting for an uninvolved vehicle to turn left. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jones minivan was estimated at $4,000 while the Lanes vehicle received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
