ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Marshalltown native Jeff Clement drove in his first run as a part of the Minnesota Twins organization, but the Rochester Red Wings fell to the Pawtucket Red Sox 8-2 in the fourth game of an International League series Monday at Frontier Field.
The Triple-A affiliate of the Twins, Rochester saw its record dip to 5-13 with the loss. Pawtucket scored six times in the top of the ninth to break a 2-all tie and force a series split.
Clement's sixth-inning single to left field drove in Chris Herrmann to cut Pawtucket's lead in half, 2-1.
The 2002 Marshalltown High School graduate finished 1-for-4 as the Red Wings' designated hitter, raising his batting average to .137.
Rochester opens a four-game series at the Syracuse Chiefs, a minor league affiliate of the Washington Nationals, tonight.
