Blocker closes collegiate career as all-MCAC pick

CONWAY, Ark. - Former East Marshall High School and Marshalltown Community College softball standout Kayla Blocker has been named first-team all-Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference, the league announced recently.

Blocker, a senior infielder, led the Warriors this season with a .390 batting average in addition to collecting 12 doubles, six home runs and 32 RBIs.

Waldorf finished its season 26-16 overall and 10-7 in the MCAC.

During her career at MCC, Blocker finished second on the team with a .408 batting average and 60 hits during her sophomore season. She also shared the team lead with 16 doubles while hitting six homers and 27 RBIs.

Blocker was a three-time all-NICL West Division selection during her prep career at East Marshall.
