Arrests

On Friday, Tony Wilson, 40, of Reinbeck, was arrested in Dike for operating while intoxicated-first offense. He posted bond and was released.

Accidents

On June 12, a car driven by Tyler Pelzer, 20, of Grundy Center, was southbound on T-37 north of Grundy Center when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pelzer car was estimated at $3,000.

On June 8, a vehicle driven by Chad Babinat, age 41, of Reinbeck, was traveling on 270th Street east of T-55 when the driver fell asleep which caused the vehicle to enter the north ditch and strike the embankment by the culvert. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Babinat vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

On June 7, a vehicle driven by Barbara Anderson, 51, of Belmond, was eastbound on Highway 20 when it struck a deer that entered the traveled portion of the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Anderson vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

On June 5, a vehicle driven by Carol Graveman, age 71, of Reinbeck, was in her driveway in Reinbeck when her foot slipped off the brake and pushed the gas pedal which caused the vehicle to strike her residence. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Graveman vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

On June 3, a John Deere ag sprayer driven by Adam Hulme, 23, of Reinbeck, was spraying a field when the driver became overheated and passed out which caused the sprayer to strike a tree and drive over a barbed wire fence. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hulme sprayer was estimated at $40,000.

On June 3, a vehicle driven by Duane Bildstein, 48, of Dyersville, was southbound on T-37 north of Grundy Center when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Bildstein vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

Marshalltown Fire Department

June 12

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two medical assists with the EMS crew to 201 W. Main St. and 2205 Dubois Circle.

June 13

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched, cancelled en route to 201 N. Second Ave. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 703 Henry Drive, 1211 W. State St. and 521 N. First St.
