Jake and Krystle Faris, of Clemons, are the parents of a daughter, Ellasyn Leigh Faris, born at 1:23 p.m. July 9 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, weighing 9 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 22 inches in length. Ellasyn was welcomed home by her big sister, Emersen. Grandparents are Jeff and Terri Ulch, of Clemons; Janice Ulch and Dan Buschbom, of State Center; and Denny and Dianne Faris, of Union. Great-grandparents are Lee and Louise Ulch, of Gladbrook; Frank and Betty Foster, of Madrid; and Mary Faris, of New Providence.
Andrea Rozak and Hunter Eash, are the parents of a son, Bryden Daniel Rozak, born at 4:53 p.m. July 10 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Grandparents are Shelley Rozak and Keith Rozak. Great-grandparents are Carl Giannetto and Craig Rozak.

On Thursday, Shelly O'Neal, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #22, reported a broken lock on a shed at her residence and the theft of a Toro snow blower. Estimated value of loss was $800.
On Thursday, an individual associated with TimberWolf Valley Manufactured or Mobile Homes, 2500 S. Center St., reported the cutting of a chain and the theft of a generator locked in a mobile home while parked in the parking lot at 2500 S. Center St. Estimated value of loss was $400.
On Wednesday, Abel Rangel, 1808 Taylor Ave., reported the theft of three fishing poles and reels from a pickup while parked at 2802 S. Center St. Estimated value of loss was $300.
On Wednesday, Ryan Curtis Seymour, 207 E. High St., was arrested for serious assault.

On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Travis John Finch, 910 S. 12th St., was traveling north in the 400 block of North 14th Avenue when a two-year-old male riding a toy dump truck came down the driveway at 407 N. 14th Ave., and into the street colliding with and becoming stuck in the rear passenger side wheel of the pickup which continued down the street until flagged down by witnesses. The two-year-old was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with injuries.

Luis Alberto Garcia, address unknown, made an initial appearance through counsel, Chad Frese, on a probation violation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 16. Garcia was released on his own recognizance.
Richard Fann, 1602 Elder Drive, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 27 in Magistrate Court. The court appointed Merrill Swartz to represent him in this matter. Fann was released on his own recognizance.
